The course fits around my job in a way that feels energising rather than overwhelming. I’ll learn something in the morning and use it that afternoon. It’s not abstract. It’s not hypothetical. It’s real, practical, and instantly useful.
The ability to apply learning in a real-world context has been one of the most valuable aspects of the programme. Rather than working on purely theoretical assignments, I have been able to align my coursework with live projects within the organisation. This has made the learning more relevant and impactful, as I can see a direct link between the apprenticeship and improvements in my performance.
The programme has strengthened how I approach marketing, moving beyond execution to a more disciplined, framework-led approach. Applying models such as SOSTAC and customer journey mapping has helped bring greater clarity to campaign planning, audience targeting, and performance measurement.
I'm quite self-motivated and the value of the course alone in knowledge is inspiring enough for anyone who is trying to progress within their role, however, I would say the being present with the other learners in the lecture sessions is most motivating, as you feed off others getting involved and get to learn about other peoples circumstances compared to your own.
Overall, the apprenticeship is helping me become a more capable and confident project manager. It complements my practical experience by providing structured learning and recognised industry best practice that I can immediately apply in my role. The knowledge and skills I am gaining are already benefiting my day-to-day work and helping me develop professionally.
Kent Business College tutors explain concepts clearly and deliver engaging sessions, ensuring that each topic is fully understood. The skills coach provides constructive feedback on my work and helps identify areas for improvement. Their ongoing guidance and support have helped me develop my Project Controls skills, build confidence, and make good progress throughout my apprenticeship.
Overall, the apprenticeship supports both my current role and my long-term career goals. It gives me practical knowledge, helps me grow professionally, and increases my confidence in moving toward project and delivery management responsibilities in the future.
This course supports my career goals in Project Management and Delivery by giving me the theoretical and formal underpinnings for my day-to-day role as a project manager.
Importantly, the course also expands into areas of Project Management and tools and techniques which I am not currently using which supports my professional development as well as giving me useful areas for continually reviewing and improving our company project management practice
Each month the assignment has given me the opportunity to consider how a topic works in our organisation.
I have found that reinforcing the learned knowledge, with practical application on top of experience is very powerful/useful.
The sessions provide both real life industry experience and examples as well as marketing theory, which helps to understand the marketing function as a whole. Concepts are thoroughly explained and link to real world marketing scenarios.
Very happy with the support from my coach. She goes through everything clearly on our monthly reviews and answers all questions. She is also approachable and happy to ask questions outside of the coaching review if needed.

The programme has shown me how I can strengthen my professional approach to different situations and apply what I learn directly in the workplace, not just within marketing, but also when working with colleagues to ensure we are all working as effectively as possible.
I'm really enjoying the subject matter and the knowledge and learning so far have been really valuable and insightful. I'm excited to take this new knowledge and implement it in to my role and the business.
I have found the workshops very informative, and the videos have been a helpful tool in conveying information to the class. To date, the workshops on Primavera P6 and MS Project have been particularly valuable, helping me develop my knowledge and improve my day-to-day work. I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge gained from these sessions to my ongoing professional development.
I'm familiar with the topics covered so far, due to my previous experience; however, the training provides structure and context and places concepts into a formal, logical framework. I've already learnt so much more than I expected at this stage
The course has helped me put theory and structure behind the marketing instincts I’ve developed through years of experience. I’m not just learning concepts for an assignment, I’m applying them directly to live projects at work, which has strengthened my confidence and helped me contribute at a more strategic level.
The course has taken me through the frameworks and models that are referenced in the marketing world and given me access to a network of marketeers to bounce ideas off.
This apprenticeship is a great opportunity to learn alongside my role
Build my confidence and develop new skills
Put my learning into practice every day
And encourage me to reflect, grow and challenge myself
The learning has genuinely changed how I approach my day-to-day work. Before starting a new development, I now take time to understand the customer journey, review the evidence, and apply the right framework. It’s helped me think more strategically and make decisions with greater confidence, rather than relying on assumptions.
I started my Level 6 Marketing Manager Apprenticeship five months ago, and it has been an incredible experience. I have gained a much deeper understanding of what it takes to be a marketing manager and learned many new skills, even with 10 years of marketing experience. I now feel confident enough to apply for marketing manager jobs. I would highly recommend this apprenticeship to anyone interested in marketing and looking to develop their career.

One of the most valuable aspects of the apprenticeship has been the ability to apply learning directly into real-world projects. For example, I have been able to use customer journey mapping techniques from the course to enhance the visitor experience for Heritage Tours. This included developing pre-and post-visit communications, identifying key customer touchpoints, and addressing pain points to improve overall satisfaction.

The apprenticeship is providing me with tools to do my role more efficiently, I have started to implement processes such as the Scope Management Plan and the detail in this contributes to the business case, it has provided me with more understanding and to probe into more detail of the project I have been given.
I am currently enrolled in the CIM Marketing course at Kent Business College, and from the very beginning, I’ve been genuinely impressed by the entire experience. The onboarding process was smooth and welcoming, thanks to the excellent support from Alice and Amgad, who were incredibly helpful and informative. Weekly online lessons with my lecturer, Crispin Reed, have been a highlight of the course. Crispin brings a wealth of knowledge to every session and has a real talent for making each lesson engaging and relevant. His teaching style keeps you motivated and ensures complex concepts are easy to understand. I have learnt so Many new skills and concepts that I now use in my day to day role. Overall, the structure, support, and quality of teaching at Kent Business College have exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to further their marketing knowledge in a professional and supportive environment!

My coach has a very well understanding of my work place and roles, when we have our 1-1 meetings he tends to relate things back to my work place with me when discussing what i have learned in recent lectures. When marketing my work he has a good understanding of what i do and when telling what what to do next to make my assignment's better his examples are always helpful with knowledge as well as relating back to me personally.
Overall, the apprenticeship is helping me bridge the gap between experience and theory. It’s giving me the language and structure to back up what I do every day, helping me grow in confidence, and allowing me to add more value to the business. It’s also helping me think more about my future and the next steps in my career, as I continue to develop as a marketing professional.
All has been fantastic so far,
Really happy with the course content, the support and tutoring, really helpful,
I have struggled with Aptem, starting to get a grip with it now, and am starting to record a backlog of hours. still find Aptem confusing at times, but getting better,
I really appreciate all the support on this, it's truly a fantastic opportunity
I thoroughly enjoyed the event. I didn't know what to expect going in, but I spent the entire day taking down notes, networking with other people on my course or the level 6. You know it is a good masterclass when you are able to take notes on actions to do when you go back to work and things to look at internally. Really good and informative masterclass.
The in-person feedback is always really insightful.
But there are moments where the course feels slightly disorganised. For example, it was not initally communicated to us that the CIM exam was optional and lead many students to respond confused in the groupchat. So I feel there needs to be improvement in terms of how things should be communicated to us.

My coach/trainer and the learning sessions support my understanding of the subject very well. They explain topics clearly, provide practical examples, and encourage questions to ensure I fully understand the material. The sessions are engaging and relevant to my role, helping me apply what I learn in the workplace and build my confidence.
- Examples from real-life on how the lessons can be applied to specific scenarios
- Added humour to make the sessions more engaging
- Lesson plans are structured in a logical manner that can be followed as if we were designing a project from scratch
- Incredibly knowledgable on a wide range of project management principles
This format has been great for my catch-up sessions, as it allows us to tailor the learning directly to the company I work for, which helps me better understand how my business operates. The sessions feel more like a collaborative conversation, where I can immediately apply what I've learned to my assignments.
The sessions cover the topics to a good level of detail. When the topics are completely new, the LMS resources provide a good way of enabling us to digest the content at our own pace. The Support Sessions are helpful because I get to talk though how best I can look at implementing my learning in my workplace.

The coaching session has been the biggest motivator so far. Quick feedback on assignments has been appreciated. The regularity of lectures and breaking down assignment into weekly tasks/sections (for march’s assigment) has helped prevent me falling behind despite a heavy workload

The most valuable thing for me however, was the opportunity to connect with other people from my course and speak with other people in marketing. I got some really good advise from other people in my group, as well as some of the people studying the Level 6

My coach is very helpful with identifying additional workshops so the information from the learning sessions can be applied to my work. For example, we are looking into a insights gap matrix workshop so I can create a comprehensive one to identify gaps.
Overall, the Level 4 Marketing Executive course has been instrumental in my professional development. It has expanded my knowledge, sharpened my skills, and given me the confidence to pursue greater responsibility within the marketing field.

Having the opportunity to continue learning later in life has been incredibly rewarding. I find the course genuinely interesting, which keeps me motivated to develop my skills and work towards a better role and improved career prospects.
The quality of the speakers, the personality that they brought and authenticity, they were not afraid to speak their mind and be 'down-to-earth'. The location and hospitality was fantasitc and the merchandise is a really great touch.
Communication has been great throughout, with everything explained so we know what we need to complete every week. The whatsapp group is also really helpful for this, especially for encouragement and a breakdown of what is expected.
The programme has helped support my career goals with the different topics and modules being covered. The freedom to choose particular modules has helped me link learnings to my job and what I want to progress towards in my career.
The programme supports my career goals well by strengthening my strategic understanding of marketing and helping me apply structured thinking to my day-to-day role. It’s improved my confidence in planning and justifying decisions
The programme supports my career goals and future progression very well by helping me develop both the practical marketing skills and professional knowledge needed to progress within the communications and marketing sector.
I thought the event was very well organised and everyone was very friendly and very helpful. Everyone was very attentive and while names badges help, they all made a point of using your name when they were talking to you.
More than anything, the apprenticeship has made me more deliberate. Not just busier, but clearer on what we're doing and why we're doing it. Nine months in, that already feels like the most valuable thing it's given me.
I wasn't sure which workshop I should be attending - maybe clarify that before hand. I also felt that the workshop wasn't relevant to our course, but it was very interesting. Apart from that it was well organised.
Good use of examples to help explain the topics that we are learning about and always checks that everyone in the group understands what we have covered so far before moving onto the next section of the lecture.

I am interested in the subject matter as it relates to my job role and daily tasks. It is helping me to understand my role better, and I am already using the learned techniques to improve my day-to-day tasks.
It has been beneficial to learn more about what we do, but also about why we do it.
I'm continuing to develop my knowledge and skills throughout the course, learning something new each week.
I missed some lectures due to travelling but having coaching session is bringing me back to the track. This was the main reason of choosing this course due to coaching and mentoring.

Very well. My coach supports me and has a good understanding of the subject - this allows me to engage with my coach and talk through the concepts and theories we learn about.
I think very well. I am new to project management as a whole, and I have understood all of the subject matter so far in a way that has been beneficial within my workplace.
