Website privacy
How this website handles browsing, learning tools and contact links.
Who to contact
Kent Business College Ltd (company number 10367575) provides this website. For a privacy question or request, email office@kentbusinesscollege.org or write to Kent Business College, Maidstone Innovation Centre, Gidds Pond Way, Weavering, Maidstone ME14 5FY.
Browsing and local learning tools
The public pages do not contain advertising pixels or an analytics service. Website hosting can process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser details, requested page and time, to deliver and protect the service. The current private preview also uses its hosting platform’s access controls.
The handbook planners, searches and course filters run in your browser. Text entered into these learning tools is not sent to KBC by the tools. Use fictional or fully anonymised practice cases. A downloaded document is saved on your device; consider where you keep or share it.
The inclusion page can remember your reading preferences, and the onboarding page can remember checklist ticks on your device. Read cookies and browser storage for controls. The website’s fonts and images are hosted with the site.
Career planner and optional AI reports
The RIASEC and personality questionnaires are scored in your browser. Device saving is optional and off by default. You can download a progress file or reflection report, remove saved answers with Clear all, or turn off device saving. A LinkedIn URL is a reference only; the website does not retrieve the profile.
If you review the information, agree to AI processing and choose Generate my AI career plan, your selected career context and combined RIASEC/Big Five scores are sent through the website’s protected server route to Neon AI Gateway, powered by Databricks. This is used to create the report you request. Individual questionnaire answers, LinkedIn URLs and learning-support planner answers are excluded. Avoid personal contact details, health information and confidential employer information in your career summary.
The application does not save career text, scores or generated reports in its database or application logs. The report remains in page memory unless you download it. The service uses a daily hashed connection identifier and request counters to limit misuse; it does not store the raw IP address in that quota table. Older counters are removed on the next successful request. Hosting and AI providers process requests under their own service, security and retention arrangements; this is not a promise of zero provider retention. Read Neon’s privacy information and the Databricks data-processing information and contact KBC with questions before sharing.
Learning support planner and charter checklist
These tools keep selections in page memory and do not send them to KBC, Neon or an AI service. They do not create signed agreements, report safeguarding concerns or establish an official learner record. Choose what to download or print, clear your answers when finished and ask Student Support for a secure route if you want to share a support plan.
Booking, email and external services
A booking link opens Microsoft Bookings. Event registration opens Eventbrite, and learning portals operate as separate services. Information you provide there is handled under the notices presented by those services and KBC’s relevant service arrangements. Following an email link opens your email application; your message is sent when you choose to send it.
When you contact KBC, the team uses the contact details and information you provide to respond and arrange the relevant support or next step. Ask the team for the privacy information, retention arrangements and lawful basis that apply to that particular service before supplying sensitive documents.
Applications and learner records
The Employer Agreement page embeds our existing Zoho form. Details entered in that form are sent directly to Zoho Forms for KBC’s employer agreement process. Learner enrolment continues with the college in APTEM. Read the information presented in the form before submitting.
Identity documents, contracts, learner records and compliance evidence should be provided through the secure process specified by the KBC team. The public website’s learning tools do not submit an enrolment application or create a learner record. The relevant learner, employer or staff privacy information applies to those services.
Your information rights
Depending on the circumstances, your rights can include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. Contact KBC to discuss a request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Website notice prepared for this preview on 10 September 2026. Hosting retention and KBC’s service-specific privacy information need to be confirmed for the public launch.
Career Advising & Planning
The account-based career service has its own privacy and consent notice, covering saved assessments, reports, optional wellbeing, quality, research and marketing choices.
