From Tetiana’s own apprenticeship reflection.
Over the past months, I’ve been completing my Level 6 Marketing Manager apprenticeship with Kent Business College alongside my role as a Marketing Manager in the UK broadband sector.
One of the most valuable outcomes of this experience has been a shift towards more structured, strategic thinking.
The programme has strengthened how I approach marketing, moving beyond execution to a more disciplined, framework-led approach. Applying models such as SOSTAC and customer journey mapping has helped bring greater clarity to campaign planning, audience targeting, and performance measurement.
A key area of development has been data-driven decision making. Metrics such as CPA, conversion rate, and ROI are now central to how I evaluate performance and optimise activity. This has enabled more informed decisions and stronger alignment between marketing efforts and business objectives.
Another important aspect has been the ability to apply learning immediately in a real business environment. From refining campaign structures to identifying friction points in the customer journey, the impact has been both practical and measurable.
The programme has also encouraged exploration of emerging areas such as artificial intelligence in marketing. This includes opportunities around content creation, automation, personalisation, and more efficient campaign optimisation, all increasingly relevant in a competitive digital landscape.
Overall, the apprenticeship is supporting my development as a more strategic and effective marketing professional, strengthening both my day-to-day performance and long-term career progression.
