Study with Kent Business College, a PMI Premier Authorised Training Partner, and connect preparation with the decisions project professionals face at work.
Live teaching, recordings, tutoring and one-to-one coaching give you ways to revisit ideas and ask questions between sessions.
Explore planning, stakeholders, risk and delivery. The Level 4 route also includes applied AI in Project Controls, alongside your workplace learning.
Study commitment: weekly PMP classes are two hours, alongside guided study and the wider occupational learning in your apprenticeship plan. Two hours is not the full weekly apprenticeship commitment.

Three separate questions. Clear answers before you enrol.
Eligible apprenticeship training and assessment do not carry tuition fees for the apprentice. You learn through an agreed programme while employed.
Official apprentice funding informationThe arrangement depends on the applicable funding rules and your employer’s circumstances. A mandatory employer contribution may be required. No tuition fee for the learner does not automatically mean no cost to the employer.
Additional KBC/IPC support can cover the professional examination and membership included in your agreed offer. It is separate from apprenticeship funding. Your written offer confirms the examination attempt, membership period, eligibility, readiness and any resit terms.
Start with the right programme
We consider your occupational learning needs—not just your interest in taking an examination.
For professionals developing relevant project responsibilities: coordinating work, supporting delivery or leading a workstream.
PMP examination eligibility is checked separately. Completing the apprenticeship does not automatically award PMP.
For professionals whose role and development needs suit deeper learning in integrated planning, control and project performance.
This is not simply a longer PMP course. Suitability depends on your duties, experience and substantial new learning needs.
A conversation, not a complicated form
You do not need every answer before you book. Bring your questions—and your career ambitions.

Your employment, relevant project duties and circumstances must meet the rules for the funded apprenticeship in England.
Your employer supports the programme, required paid training time and any applicable contribution. An initial meeting can take place before you speak to your manager.
We assess what you already know and whether the programme offers substantial new occupational learning.
PMI has separate education, experience and training requirements. We review these alongside your intended examination timetable.
The questions that matter
An eligible apprenticeship in England can include PMP preparation, with additional KBC/IPC support for the professional examination and membership where confirmed in your written offer. This is not a universally free standalone PMP course. Your employment, prior learning, employer arrangements and funding eligibility must be assessed.
KBC offers additional professional examination and membership support alongside agreed apprenticeship pathways. We confirm your PMP examination support, membership period, readiness requirements and any resit arrangements in writing before you enrol. These are separate from eligible apprenticeship training and assessment funding.
Yes. Kent Business College is a PMI Premier Authorised Training Partner. PMP certification is awarded by the Project Management Institute, not by KBC; you must meet PMI’s eligibility requirements and pass its examination.
Yes. Book an initial meeting to understand the route and the information your manager will need. Your employer must agree to the apprenticeship arrangements, including the required paid training time, before the programme can proceed.
Book a discussion about your current role and previous learning. We assess whether an apprenticeship would provide substantial new occupational learning and account for relevant prior learning. We review PMP examination eligibility separately; an existing qualification does not by itself establish eligibility for either route.
The weekly PMP preparation component spans eight months. The Associate Project Manager Level 4 route is currently presented as 12 months plus apprenticeship assessment. Project Controls Professional Level 6 is a broader programme. Your individual plan confirms the full duration, learning commitment and assessment timetable.
The apprenticeship funding described on this page applies to England. Working location and other eligibility conditions matter; living in the UK alone does not establish eligibility. We can discuss separately priced standalone training for people outside this funding route.
You go directly to the Kent Business College information-session booking calendar already used on our website. Choose an available appointment and complete the booking there. There is no separate enquiry form on this page. Booking a meeting does not reserve apprenticeship funding or confirm a place.
