Learn. Apply. Reflect.
The learning combines live online teaching, guided preparation and practical development. Your offer will confirm the timetable, study expectations and support. Bring professional questions and suitable workplace examples into the learning.
Learning activities and practice questions support your preparation. The external certification examination is separate from the KBC learning programme.
Understand your route.
PMP is a PMI certification. Taking a preparation course does not by itself establish eligibility or award certification. Confirm PMI’s current experience and examination requirements, and the costs included in your KBC offer.
Before you apply.
Is this programme right for my role?
Project managers and experienced professionals seeking structured development and preparation for a professional examination. KBC will discuss your starting point and learning needs before confirming a place.
What are the fees or funding arrangements?
The team will confirm the price, any applicable funding or bursary, included assessments and optional extras in your written offer. Apprenticeship funding is subject to eligibility and employer circumstances.
Will I automatically receive a professional designation?
External qualifications, memberships and chartered designations have their own requirements. Completing a KBC course does not automatically award every linked professional designation.
How do I take the next step?
Book a programme conversation. We’ll discuss your goals, current experience, timetable and the arrangements that apply to your chosen route.

Two modules over eight months. Each module follows KBC’s four-month rhythm: an optional London masterclass, 14 interactive two-hour sessions and one reading week. Guided preparation and practice complete your learning plan.
Your sponsor wants speed, the customer changes priorities and the latest forecast has weakened. The course develops the ability to connect those signals: clarify the intended benefit, test the evidence, involve the right people and choose a response that protects value while respecting the project’s authority and constraints.
01Value, governance and the project environment
Start with the reason a project deserves investment. Explore the PMBOK 8 value-delivery system, governance relationships, sponsorship and the distinction between delivering an output and achieving a useful outcome. Examine the six principles as practical considerations in decisions, including accountability, quality, sustainability and an empowered team culture. Relate governance choices to the business environment examined by PMI.
Apply it at work: Produce a project purpose and governance brief linking outcomes, benefit owners, decision rights and success measures.
02Life cycles and proportionate delivery
Compare predictive, adaptive and hybrid approaches through the stability of requirements, feedback needs and delivery risk. Use PMBOK 8’s five focus areas to understand how initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure interact across different life cycles. Work through tailoring choices instead of assuming that one method, meeting rhythm or document set will suit every project.
Apply it at work: Recommend a delivery approach for a case project and justify its planning, feedback and governance arrangements.
03Scope, schedule and finance as one plan
Trace requirements into a scope structure, activities, estimates and a realistic delivery plan. Examine how dependencies, resource availability, assumptions and funding affect commitments. Connect schedule and cost baselines to progress measurement, forecasting and change control. The emphasis is on understanding the relationships behind the figures, so an apparently local change can be assessed for its wider consequences.
Apply it at work: Create and challenge an integrated planning example, then explain the effect of a scope change on time, resources and cost.
04Stakeholders, resources and accountable leadership
Explore how shared purpose, communication, team agreements and clear responsibilities support delivery. Consider stakeholder expectations, negotiation, conflict, knowledge transfer and team capability across distributed and changing environments. Work through situations in which the project manager must listen, facilitate, remove obstacles or escalate. Link leadership behaviour to the evidence needed for an informed and proportionate decision.
Apply it at work: Prepare a stakeholder engagement approach and practise responding to a team conflict or competing customer expectations.
05Risk, quality and adaptation
Connect uncertainty with practical control. Consider threats and opportunities, response ownership, quality assurance, performance evidence and the point at which a risk becomes an issue. Examine how changing regulations, technology or organisational priorities can alter the project’s justification. Discuss AI-supported analysis and sustainability within the broader responsibilities of the project manager, using evidence and human judgement.
Apply it at work: Evaluate a deteriorating project scenario and recommend a coordinated risk, quality and change response.
06Examination judgement and readiness
Use the current Examination Content Outline to organise revision across People, Process and Business Environment. Practise reading the situation before selecting a technique or intervention, including cases with charts and project data. Review errors by the underlying decision rather than memorising isolated answers. Build a personal revision plan around remaining knowledge gaps, interpretation skills and time management.
Apply it at work: Complete scenario-based practice and maintain an error-review log with a reasoned correction for each missed decision.
Assessment and eligibility
PMI awards PMP after approving eligibility and a successful external examination. The July 2026 exam has 180 questions and 240 minutes, covering People (33%), Process (41%) and Business Environment (26%). Applicants need qualifying project-leadership experience and 35 hours of eligible project management education, with experience requirements varying by educational route. KBC’s learning activities and practice assessments support preparation; attendance does not itself confer PMP. The application and examination arrangements should be confirmed for the learner’s intended exam date.
