Who is the programme designed for?

It is designed for project controls managers, project controllers, planners, schedulers, cost engineers, project engineers, project managers, PMO professionals, risk practitioners and delivery leaders working across construction, civil engineering, infrastructure and major projects.

How long is the programme?

The programme is structured over 27 months: a one-month soft start, six credits delivered across 24 months and two months of closing workshops and End-Point Assessment preparation.

Which pathway can I choose?

You can follow the Operational, Strategic or Chartered Pathway. A tailored six-credit mix may also be agreed after reviewing your job duties, evidence opportunities and employer priorities.

Does the Chartered Pathway automatically award Chartered Project Professional status?

No. The pathway supports the APM recognised assessment route for technical knowledge. Chartered Project Professional status is awarded only by the Association for Project Management after all of its requirements have been met.

Is the programme fully funded?

A fully funded apprenticeship route is available subject to current funding rules, learner eligibility, employer agreement, residency, work location, prior-learning review and written confirmation.

Do I need to be a construction engineer?

No. The programme is also suitable for planning, cost, risk, reporting, assurance, governance, PMO and programme professionals whose work influences construction or infrastructure performance.

Can learning use my employer's live projects?

Yes, where organisational permission and confidentiality controls are in place. Approved simulated scenarios can be used where access to live information is restricted.

What support must my employer provide?

Apprenticeship learners require protected off-the-job learning time, suitable workplace duties and evidence opportunities, line-manager feedback and participation in regular progress reviews.

Can the programme be tailored for an employer cohort?

Employer delivery can be structured around shared construction challenges, roles, controls standards and project priorities, subject to an agreed scope and delivery plan.
