Advanced Project & logistics Management

The Operations and Information Management for Project Managers module develops a critical
understanding of operations management and information systems within the context of project
delivery. While modules such as Earned Value Management (EVM) and Portfolio Management focus
on performance measurement and strategic alignment, this unit emphasises the financial, operational,
and cost management dimensions of projects.
Learners will explore how functional areas of organisations interrelate, and how contemporary issues
such as globalisation, technology, and supply chain pressures influence project management practice.
A strong emphasis is placed on capacity planning, inventory management, and scheduling operations,
all underpinned by information systems and quality management frameworks. This makes the module
especially valuable for professionals aiming to strengthen their expertise in the operational–strategic
pathway, particularly in roles such as Head of Operations, Cost and Finance Manager, PMO Manager,
or Senior Project Controller
