BIO

Dr Amgad Badewi is a Senior Lecturer in Project and Programme Management at Kent Business School. He holds a PhD in Project and Programme Management from Cranfield University and a PGCHE from the University of Kent, is a Fellow of Advance HE, and an accredited AXELOS trainer. He previously served as a Reader in Project Management at the University of Kent and has held visiting academic roles at the University of Chester and the University of Aberdeen.

Since 2016, Amgad has been Director of IBIS Consultancy, designing and delivering more than 50 executive courses and workshops in agile project management, IT transformation, and government delivery methods for clients across the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, the USA, Nigeria, the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. His work spans healthcare, banking, and public services. He is a former Director of Finance and Associate Director of Professional Development at the PMI UK Chapter, a member of the APM Academic Steering Group, an academic judge for the Herbert Walton and Geoffrey Trimble Awards, and an international editorial board member of the International Journal of Project Management. He holds professional certifications including PMP, MSP, M_o_R, and ITIL.

About DR. Amgad Badawy​

Dr Amgad Badewi is a Senior Lecturer in Project and Programme Management at Kent Business School. He has a PhD in Project and Programme Management from Cranfield University, a teaching qualification (PGCHE) from the University of Kent, teaching fellow status from higher education academy and accredited trainer from AXELOS.

In the last decade, he bided, wrote tenders, delivered and designed more than 53 executive courses to international and local clients in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, USA, Nigeria, Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. This included different ministries, authorities, and corporates in these countries.

Amgad is a former director of finance and associate director of professional development at PMI UK Chapter. He led some tracks for the British Academy of Management (BAM). He also serves at the steering committee of the research methodology in BAM. He is the academic judge at APM for the best PhD (Herbert Walton Award) and MSc thesis (Geoffrey Trimble Award).He is a member of the APM Academic Steering Group. He is an international editorial board at the International Journal of Project Management (IJPM)

Amgad has contributed to “Benefits Realization Management: Practice Guide — First Edition” – PMI new guide in Project Management. In addition, he has contributed to 4 books and 16 academic and professional conferences locally and internationally.

He is currently finishing his new book, “Project Benefits Management: From operations to strategy”. He has over 10 publications in Project benefits management including 2 in International Journal of Project Management.
