Project Management Office (PMI-PMO)
The PMO Qualification (PMI) provides advanced knowledge and skills to design, implement, and lead a Project Management Office (PMO) at an organisational or enterprise level. Unlike qualifications such as PPC or EVM, which focus on planning and control at the project level, this module emphasises the strategic governance, alignment, and oversight provided by PMOs. The PMO sits at the centre of organisational project delivery, enabling consistency, efficiency, and strategic alignment across portfolios and programmes. Learners will develop a critical understanding of PMO functions, maturity models, service offerings, and operating models, with emphasis on how PMOs enable decision-making, strategic reporting, and organisational transformation. This qualification is intended for the strategic management pathway, particularly for professionals aspiring to or working in roles such as Head of PMO, Portfolio Manager, Programme Director, or Head of Project Controls. It prepares leaders to move beyond managing individual projects to ensuring that project, programme, and portfolio management contribute directly to organisational success
