BIO
Dr. Juliane Thieme is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Events at the University of Greenwich. She holds a PhD from Kent Business School, a Master’s in Tourism, Environment and Development from King’s College London, and a German degree in Business Administration. Her research focuses on tourism in developing countries, particularly the political economy of tourism, small-scale enterprises, and community involvement, with fieldwork in Colombia and broader interest in Latin America. She teaches International Business, Management, and Strategy, integrating current issues and social media to enhance learning.
After her undergraduate study of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, Sports and Events Management, she gained some years of industry experience working in advertising (with mainly tourism clients) and events management.
Achievements
Ray is founder and director of p3m global, a specialist Portfolio, Programme and Project management (P3M) consultancy. In this role he has led a diverse team and worked with a wide range of clients, both domestically and internationally, across various sectors from FTSE 100 to central government. His recent clients have included Rolls-Royce, Vodafone, National Grid and the Irish Parliament (Oireachtas).
